WHAT THEY SAY
A word from...
Al Dacascos
Aloha Mike,
Reading your words was like sitting at the feet of a master storyteller and warrior — not only because of your discipline, but because of your ability to put into words what so many of us feel but cannot express. You remind us that discipline is not punishment, but a gift we give ourselves: freedom, strength, and truth.
What inspires me most is that you live what you speak. Your persistence from youth to now is proof that your message isn't just philosophy — it's action, it's real, and it's earned. You are a shining example not only for martial artists, but for anyone who is searching for resilience in life's toughest tests.
Thank you for reminding me — and all of us who read your words — that love, light, and discipline walk hand in hand. Your spirit connects people across oceans and cultures, and I feel honored to call you my friend and brother.
With deep respect,
Al
"Mike is truly one of a kind. Setting martial arts aside, he has done more for me than most anyone, and mostly by simply being the unique Mike Stone. I am proud of him, and I love him. If ever you have the chance to meet Mike you will be inspired."

GRAHAM SLATER's rETREAT EXPERENCE
I've be very fortunate to have met Mike in 2015 and been the recipient of his life changing programs on a number of occasions. As an experienced martial artist, I was not only looking for ways to improve my skills, but what was driving my abilities and how to enhance them.
The first thing I learnt from Mike was using the right words to describe myself and what I was doing. There are so many elements to Mike's teachings that permeate into your mind, body and spirt, you have to pursue it for yourself.
Now finally after 5 years, I landed on his Island Retreat, where a different type of magic was experienced. Obviously this is the ultimate environment to access your personal journey with Mike. However, everyone can now experience his magic now, via his online programs. Do it for yourself!

JULIEN SAMAHA
Julien Samaha is an unusual case, because he was not a martial artist, but felt he needed to make changes in his lifestyle that he attempted for years to do but kept returning to the same negative choices and experiences. He felt a program like ours, where it specifically dealt with creating a new mindset would allow him to consistently apply positive habits of thinking, expressing, and action to create a better way of living.
"Aloha, Mike I had heard of you plenty from Ed Parker, who only delivered the highest praises for your extraordinary talent."
Patrick Strong
"Deep respect and admiration for his legacy and history!!"
Sean Kelley
"Titles are good when the respect and years of teaching and practice are validated by ones deeds. Mike is a master to me. I have watched him go thru life and be who he is at all times in his life. He has carried himself with respect so he deserves respect. We earn respect by giving respect."
Jerry Piddington
"I still call him “The Animal'', with a record of 91 consecutive wins! American martial artist, proven fighter, stuntman, actor, author, Wow— I’ve always maintained until this day that Mike Stone is the single best athlete I have ever encountered. Peace with you my brother. Shodan, (??), literally meaning "beginning degree"."
Leonard Wayne
"I was told that Bruce Lee once said there are two men he would never want to have to face in a real fight. One was Mike Stone & the other Jim Harrison. I am lucky enough to know both men."
John Morris
"Mike often says, "Time exposes or promotes", and we know that Mike is the real deal and continues to be promoted in our eyes."
Dennis Conatser Sr.
"Everything everyone said here is so true a very unique person, who I got to know in the late 1960s until the mid 1970s he has been an inspiration to me. I was very lucky to have interacted with Mr. Mike Stone.

"Mike's visit people have called me to ask how they should address Mike and his title. I tell them his title is Shodan and you can address him as Mike. Mike Stone is one of the most respected men in karate and he doesn't need titles or high rank to have earned that respect. His fighting record, the way he treats others, his character, and his presence is what has earned this worldwide admiration. In our world where rank and title mean so much it is easy to respect someone who is comfortable enough with himself to not look for validation through rank or title. I am proud of Mike Stone.

“If Mike Stone wore titles on his belt, around his neck, he would certainly deserve every single one. His legendary and pioneering contributions to the Martial Arts world are written in history and cannot and will not be disputed. Mike Stone the Man has given and continues to give his knowledge, wisdom and understanding of life with unconditional love and respect for humanity. One must show the utmost humility when in the mist of such a humble man. Peace and Blessings”

“I knew I was just living life and I also knew that this had to change. I needed purpose and conviction to my days on this earth. Luckily just when I was thinking this someone I meet through friends had attended Mike’s program and suggested I go along. 3 weeks later I was at Mikes place in Bohol.
The moment you arrive, Mike strips every resemblance of your life and starts working afresh on your mind and your body. After 7 days I came out with Trust, Faith and Belief in my decisions, in the capabilities of my body and in each waking moment. I can genuinely greet the world each day and each and every person in it with authenticity and conviction.
I can't thank Mike enough for taking me in and giving me back the purpose I needed.”

"I've been here with you for 21 days, learning all of this and I know sometimes it's not been easy, but your way of teaching and coaching about life, not just the Martial Arts, is exceptional. And I loved the way that you presented it, a true professional in every sense! It was a very passionate and powerful presentation.
What you have done for me inside and out is Priceless…Can't fail when you are with the best of the best! The word “awesome’ springs to mind. I have trained with Mike Stone on several occasions over the last 18 months. There is no finer teacher in all aspects of his life-changing experience program.
The Dojo at Mike’s home is inspiring, and I have introduced several friends who have trained there and loved it... thanks Sensei Mike Stone... you are truly one of a kind.”

“I’m starting to think I feel a change in myself. The way I think about and talk to people now is different. I had about 10 interactions with different people since the time I began, and it’s all very amazing how they are talking to me. Completely different than 7 days ago. Wow, I feel the change in only 4 days. One of the most important thing Mike made me aware is to take responsibility for all my choices. That I am the creator of my life’s experiences, no one to blame, fault or point the fingers to. Feeling free to choose and think before making a choice. Because there are consequences.
I did fasting before and I know how the mind has to be to get the best results. If you have a guide like Mike, wow, that can be just amazing. If I have one thing to remember about this experience, is to do my best at everything I do.
I now know, when I wake up in the morning, everything will be fine. I learned a lot, I can feel that at the end of my time here, I don’t want to leave.”
